Grand Prix Racer
Ramsay Grand Prix Sails are for full-on race boats.
Designed for teams that race to win, Ramsay Grand Prix Sails are built with the world’s best Laminated Panels and Custom Membrane String Layouts in Carbon Fibre, Aramids, (Technora), Polyester (Dacron) and UHMWPE (Dyneema).
Carbon Sport and Carbon Sport Lite Skin
CS Lite Skin
Carbon Sport
DP’s Carbon Sport is a high performance product with exceptional flex and impact resistance. The laminate comprises Carbon warp inserts, Technora® Black X-PLY® and rugged black polyester in the base warp and fill scrim to deliver a superior shape holding fabric.
Carbon Sport Black utilizes black adhesives to give a modern opaque appearance and CS Lite Skin® benefits from polyester taffetas for durability.
Black X-Tech Aramid
Black X-Tech Aramid laminates provide increased lifespan for roller furling and overlapping headsails. The Technora® black yarn offers high flex and impact durability due to its high tenacity, which combined with black Aramid warp fibres give load-line strength in tri-radial constructions. Black X-Tech fabrics operate well at the highest racing level.
ZZ Black Polyester
ZZ Polyester (ZZP) styles incorporate Polyester scrim and insertion technology to create a range of fabrics with excellent resistance to flex, and UV stability is enhanced by a carbon black coating on the formed scrim. Primary load line strength is supplemented with a ZigZag of black polyester fibres at 22º on either side of the warp for improved cloth stability and tear strength.
ZZ Polyester laminates are a durable and economical option for many small boats and one design classes that restrict the use of Carbon and Aramid fibres.
PX Blackline-Polyester
DP’s PX Black Line Polyester offers an efficient weight-to-strength fabric for radial panelled sails, with the benefit of black fibre coating for improved UV resistance.
And like Contender Sailcloths ZZ Polyester these materials have the technical appearance of higher modulus Carbon and Aramid fabrics seen on larger race boats.
